SAAACAM Fiesta Blues Festival

The San Antonio African American Community Archive and Musuem (SAAACAM) is proud to present the inaugural Fiesta Family Blues Festival. Tickets will be $10 for attendees over the age of 12, and the event will include activites and entertainment for the whole family.

Micahel Ward (also know as “the Velvet Violinist) is a San Antonio native who began playing musical instruments at an early age and regulary attended band practices with him mother, jazz singer Carol Ward. With six CDs to his credit and over 100 recordings with various artists, Ward has emerged as one of the leading studio violinists in the business.

SAAACAM is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations formed to collect, maintain, disseminate and interpret authentic African American artifacts related to San Antonio history, in a community-based digital archive. The organization’s goal is to reclaim San Antonio’s black history by empowering individuals to curate their own archives and cultivate a community-driven museum of digitized, audiovisual exhibits.
